Just a step away from the 19th century built Grand Boulevard crossing downtown Pest, in a quiet side street towards the Parliament and the river Danube is this 2-bedroom apartment decorated with a beautiful selection of authentic art deco furniture and artwork. It is on the 2nd floor of a Bauhaus building with elevator. The flat was recently renovated and finished in a simple but tasteful and functional way with all the basic amenities, while maintaining beauty and comfort. Walking into the entry hall and peeking into the living room or the kitchen you will immediately be greeted with the Black & White theme of the apartment. Both bedrooms come with double beds and the bathroom is equipped with shower and sink. The whole apartment has restored parquet floor matching the art deco furnishings. The dark wooden chairs are originally from an old cinema in Vienna and the coal drawings above the master bed are the works of the owner from her art school years in the 60ies. The small but charming balcony attached to the master bedroom and is looking to Balaton utca. The kitchen is fully equipped, the dining table seats 6, and some of the table wear pieces are from the owner’s personal art deco collection.
This vacation rental is walking distance to many interesting and well known places of Central Pest: The Parliament and Freedom Square, the Margaret Bridge and the Margaret Island - a perfect place to go for a swim or do your morning run on the running path around the whole island together with local running mates. The antique market street, Falk Miksa utca is about a 100 metres only and the peaceful and pretty St. Istvan Park in the middle of the 13th disctrict offers a great spot for people watching.
The great food and produce market of Lehel tér with many local delights and farmers‘ market is an ideal place to get the ingredients of a nice dinner during your stay. Shopping in the small stores of the streets running behind the opposite side of the Grand Boulevard will get you unique and authentic souvenirs from Hungary, but the nearby Westend Shopping Centre comes handy too when you need daily practical items.
The nearest subway and tram station is Nyugati tér (West Station Square) and you can easily reach to other parts of Pest like Deák Square or Andrássy Avenue as well as get to Buda within 15 minutes.
